The library is currently featuring art by Dwight Kirkland
Born in Dallas,Texas, Dwight Kirkland presently lives an works in Mifflintown, Pa.
He has been an artist for as long as he can remember. He enjoys all types
of painting and drawing, and specializes in a unique, dreamlike, photo-realistic
style of painting using the airbrush and paintbrush.
Kirkland's great love for wildlife and nature has been a focus for his talent.
He has created projects, including limited-edition prints, to raise money
for endangered animals. He has had numerous covers on Pa. Game News
as well as editorial illustrations.
Kirkland has also created thousands of illustrations that are used
on products for the home decor and gift industry.
You can see examples of Mr. Kirkland's work on the wall
near the entrance to the library.
