Story Times

 Toddler Tuesdays


Ages birth to age 3
Tuesdays January 31 to March 20; 10:30am
Registration is required for Toddler Tuesdays.
Each class will feature a loose central theme that will help us explore books through stories, songs, and action rhymes.

Teddy Time


All ages
Tuesdays January 31 to March 20; 6:00pm
Drop-In, NO Registration Required
Each class will feature a loose central theme that will help us explore books through stories, songes, and action rhymes.

We will follow the same outline as Toddler Tuesdays for Teddy Time.

 Story Time


Ages 3+
Wednesdays February 1 to March 21; 10:30pm
OR Thursdays February 2 to March 22; 10:30pm
*(both sessions are the same)
Registration is required for Story Time, space is limited
Each class will explore books and reading through, stories, songs, fingerplays, action rhymes and a fun craft. Every week we will feature a central theme to guide our activities. Story Time will incorporate some aspects of Circle Time into our routine.

 

(There will be no Story Time on February 15)

FUN Stuff!

 

Saturday, January 21 - Winnie-the-Pooh Party
Come celebrate the birth of A.A. Milne and our favorite characters from the Hundred Acre Woods! 

Saturday, January 21 from 10:30 to 12:30.  Ages 3+, Registration is required

*We will be serving peanut butter and honey at this party!*

 

Monday, February 6 - Snow Business!
Don't you just love snow?  I do.  Come make snow-themed crafts. Registration is required.

11:00am ages 3+, 4:00pm school aged kids

 

Friday, February 10 - Piggy Bank Program
A 5-week program (skipping March 2) that teaches little ones the basics of

Earning, Saving, Sharing, and Spending through fun stories, crafts, and activities.

This program is geared toward children ages 3 to 5. 

Begins February 10 and ends March 16 (we skip March 2) at 11:00am. 
Registration is required and space is limited!

 

Saturday, February 11 - Make Valentines!
Drop in between 1:30 and 3:00 to make valentines!  All ages.

 

Friday, March 2 - Read Across America, Dr. Seuss
Celebrate Dr. Seuss and Read Across America with us! 

Kids aged 3+ are encouraged to join us at 11:00am for stories and a craft. 

School aged children are invited to participate at 4:00pm.  Registration is not required.

 

Saturday, March 3 - Pancakes!
Celebrate National Pancake Day with the library and join us for a Pancake Breakfast Story Time! 

Breakfast begins at 9:30am.  Registration is required. 

All ages are welcome to attend this program.

 

Saturday, March 17 - St. Patrick's Day
Stop in between 2:00 and 3:00pm on St. Patrick's Day to make some fabulous crafts! 

Registration is not required.

 

Monday, March 19 - Family Game Night
Stop in between 6:00 and 8:00pm on the third Monday of every month and play some games! 

A variety of board games will be available, so bring a family member or friend!

 

Tuesday, March 20 - It's SPRING!
Celebrate the onset of Spring by planting some flowers and vegetables with us!  Children aged 3+ are invited to join us at 2:00pm and school aged children are encouraged to join us at 4:00.  Registration is required for this program.

All programs will be held at the library (unless indicated otherwise) and are free of charge. Many of our programs involve a story, activity, and/or craft. A special thanks go to the Mifflin/Juniata United Way, Evenstart Family Literacy, Mifflintown Borough, Kiwanis Club, Friends of the Library, Juniata County Farm Bureau, Central Juniata Park Pool, and many more local businesses and volunteers for supporting the activities of the Juniata County Library.
